What are Safety Data Sheets (SDSs)?
Safety Data Sheets are summary documents that provide information about hazards of products and instructions for safety precautions. SDSs are typically written by the manufacturer or supplier of the products. SDSs tell the users what the hazards of the products are, how to use the product safely, what to expect if the recommendations are not followed, how to recognize symptoms of exposure, and what to do if an emergency occurs.
SDSs provide more detailed hazard information than what is provided on the product label. They are an important resource for our UA community and staff to help inform us about the product we us across campus.
